Planning a trip to Italy can initially start out as an exciting endeavor, and quickly become overwhelming as the vast amount of information and choices available on the internet can often confuse rather than assist the process. Depending solely on information gathered online can lead to disappointing results as the images and reviews on the web don’t always match reality.
The first step in any journey is a conversation. An initial complimentary consultation is provided by phone during which time we will discuss your ideal trip to Italy including specific interests, travel style, budget, pet peeves and must haves.
Once we decide to work together…
I will ask you to complete a trip-planning questionnaire and submit a non-refundable planning fee, applicable to the final bill. As a travel consultant, I charge for my services, because unlike a traditional travel agent, I do not limit my suggestions to commissionable corporate hotels and services. The benefits to you are that I’m not recommending hotels, activities, or guides based on who is paying me commissions, but rather finding the best fit for your interests and budget. This approach also allows me to work directly with small, independently owned tour companies and boutique hotels that provide a more personal experience, and to spend time working on a very detailed plan and an overall flow and balance to your itinerary.
Once I receive your completed questionnaire and deposit, I will then get to work crafting an initial itinerary, hand selecting suggested properties, expert guides, trusted drivers and unique experiences to create a custom experience that makes your dream trip to Italy a reality. After you review the initial itinerary, I will listen carefully to your reactions and together we will make adjustments until you are happy with every detail!

Itemized rates for each of your services rather than one inclusive fee, which is not only more transparent, but allows you the opportunity to decide where and how you would like to spend your time and resources.
All reservations are made directly with the providers when possible, rather than using on-line booking sites to ensure dependability and quality of services.

All of the above information is presented in bound notebook form and includes contact information for all of your accommodations, transfers, tours, and museum reservations.
